The Messzehangzó Talents Foundation was established in 2008 with the purpose of helping inland and cross-border children in socioculturally disadvantaged situation, aged 12-22, with talents outstanding from their age group. The goal of the foundation is to help these children to acquire such knowledge which has a major effect verifiable in the development of their abilities and talent and which they would not be able to acquire due to their circumstances, for the reason of their reliance on care completely free of charge. The primary goal of the art and scientific talent care programme (summer camps, in-term development programmes, scholarship programme) is for children who are struggling with the difficulties of everyday life to be able to discover and recognise the hidden abilities in them, to be able and dare to try themselves, and to use their acquired knowledge to express their creativity. The foundation's programme focuses on three key fields: arts, natural sciences, and information technology. Individuality, personality, and specifically self-knowledge and personality development programmes play an important role in our talent development programme, set up with the cooperation of psychology specialists.

In our talent care methodology, the principle of complexity and the development of personality have key emphasis, and so do the project method and the programs on the topic of specifically self-knowledge and personality development. The playful, interactive, out-of-school programs provide opportunities for the children to expand their area of interests and to develop their special abilities, self-assessment and creativity. During the programs we strive to pass the knowledge supplementing the school material with non-formal methods in a loving and secure atmosphere. On the classes we regard the children as partners, the assisting adult and child are not in the classic sub- or superordinate relationship but are cooperating parties. Among the aims of the Foundation, there is a prominent role for the organization of the self-knowledge, personality-enriching and social networking programmes and the involvement of parents and their sensitization for the topic and to provide comprehensive knowledge for them.

In 2016, the Ministry of Human Capacities awarded Bonis Bona - For the Talents of the Nation – excellent talent manager organization award to the Foundation’s methodological work of its talent development scheme. In 2018 the Foundation became a member of the European Talent Points network and its program has received excellently accredited qualification for the third time from the Association of Hungarian Talent Support Organizations

I’LL BE AN ARTIST! I’LL BE A SCIENTIST! SCHOLARSHIP

The objective of the scholarship program is to contribute to the development of the talent of youth aged 14-22 pursuing advanced scientific and artistic activities, to help and encourage them to achieve further goals. Since 2008, the Foundation supported 88 socioculturally disadvantaged young persons with talents in music, crafts and science in the form of providing the monthly participation fees of camp, student group, other art/science club, employment of mentor/developer, covering the travel expenses for competition/stage presentation. The scholarship applies for one academic year, the application is announced in May-June every year.
